I am filling out some paperwork for a new job at my old job. William looks over the forms and says that this is all just procedure, he know me and knows that I will be a good fit. He does, however, point out to me that it is company policy not to hire directly but to hire through temp-to-perm agencies. I nod and smile but as I am leaving I realize that there is no chance I will ever be so desperate as to lower myself to work for that office again and leave knowing that when the job offer is presented to me I will turn it down.
