I am walking into my kitchen when I see a very large brown bug on the wall just about at eye level. I move back behind a piece of furniture to hide from it. I peer out the far side to see if the bug is still there. It is. I look out the other side. It’s still there. I think about how I can get to the other side of the kitchen without drawing attention to myself and I decide to try sliding along the white tiles of the floor. I take a few steps back, exposing myself only long enough to get a “running” start and push myself into a slide. But the bug has seen me and it flies at my throat, its wings beating furiously as it attacks me. I start to scream for help.

(In actuality, I was screaming in my sleep and Rob had to wake me up. I could feel the muscles around my neck fluttering but I don’t know if that was actual or just residual sensation from the dream. Either way, I was obviously very frightened by the experience and it was alarming for Rob to hear me screaming in my sleep.)
