Rob and I are driving somewhere when we see some cars up ahead, including several police cars, lights flashing. As we pull up to the cluster of cars, one of the police officers signals with a flashlight, asking us to pull over. I am not worried but frustrated that we are being forced to stop. The officer asks us to get out of the vehicle and begins searching it, even though this is not legal. Nevertheless, the officer finds some crystal meth paraphernalia and Rob admits it is his. They handcuff him as he looks over at me, his eyes sorrowful and apologetic. I lift my left hand and remove my engagement ring. I then go over to him and take his engagement ring from his hand. "We're done," I say as I turn to walk away. Back home I go into a room where the children are sitting on the floor, coloring books or something similar scattered around. I explain to them that my relationship with Rob is over, I tell them why, and leave the room, closing the door behind me.
