I am in a restaurant with a group of people at a party when I notice that Debbie Harry is sitting at the nearby table with her band members. I go over and introduce myself. She knows Rob so is happy to meet me. We talk a bit and then I crouch down and suggest that some friends and I are going to a club later and then an after party. I invite her to the after party, explaining that the person having the after party runs the party at the club and that it is mostly for people who are into the alternative lifestyle. She looks over at her partner Chris Stein and then says to me that they "aren't into that sort of scene." I try to explain to her that the after party is not anything more than a group of people hanging out but she has already stopped listening to what I have to say. I get up and leave.
